FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A: Over time, a module or two may go flat and essentially disappear. This is no cause for concern; the pack will not leak, and you may continue to use it normally. Other cold pack manufacturers instruct the user to mold the pack to the desired comfort level.. Do not do this with Cryo-MAX® cold packs. If the pack is too stiff, let it thaw for 10 minutes, or run it under warm water.
A: Cryo-MAX® cold packs can be punctured by sharp objects, animal bites, or other disturbances. They can also be damaged if they are dropped onto a hard surface while in their fully frozen state. Upon damage, the cold pack will first fill with air and the pink fluid will drop to the bottom when held vertically. Eventually it will start to leak. Throw the damaged pack away.
It is a good idea to periodically check your Cryo-MAX® cold pack for leakage. Remember that condensation is not the same as leakage.
A: Cryo-MAX® products are strong and durable, but they can occasionally be punctured. To remove any stain caused by leakage, follow the instructions for cleaning the material in question.
A: Yes. First, let the cold pack thaw out on a counter top at room temperature for an hour. When using it at night, be sure to wrap your Cryo-Max® cold pack in a towel.
A: Yes, but be careful. If you are using the cold pack directly on the eyes, it should be cooled in a refrigerator and not frozen in a freezer.
A: You may use either side of the Cryo-MAX® cold pack, but they are most effective when the modules are facing the injury.
A: Cryo-MAX® can be very effective for treating burns, but consult your doctor before using it to treat serious burns.
A: Yes. Cryo-MAX® can be very effective when used in a cooler. Keep in mind that when used in this way, it is more likely to be damaged.
